Progress Update

Hello everyone! Just a quick update from the team lead of Draw, Avery!

As of now, our current plan for the game is to finish around 4 levels (with an additional semi-level at the end), including cutscenes shown between.   Currently, we have the first two levels finished and ready to go, and our current work efforts have gone towards finishing the 3rd level of the game centered around our character Mike.  This level has been a new challenge for all of us, being much more ambitious in terms of scope and complexity of puzzles and animations.  A lot of work on this level has been figuring out how to make our workflow more efficient when exchanging work between team members, and I'm proud to say we've made a lot of improvements!

Similar to the 2nd level, centered around Claire, Mike's level has been split into two parts.   The full design and plan for the look of Mike's level has been set in stone, and current efforts are aiming to finish it.  Work on Part 1 is nearing completion, with efforts going towards polishing up the level design and plugging in dialogue cutscenes and animations.  As for Part 2, I am currently working on finishing the animations that will be used for our cutscenes.  And during all of this, I've been working with our level designer to start planning out the look of the 4th level and the ending level of the game.

It's been a great journey working on this game with everyone, and it's been a massive learning experience to work on this as my first game with everyone.  I've had this story in the back of my head since sophomore year of high school.  But while I've had the time to solidify the general plot and direction of this game, it's been a bit of a struggle to figure out ways to tackle the tough subjects and meaning of the story in a meaningful way.  But thanks to the help of my team, we have a stronger idea for the note we want to end this story off on, and can't wait to show you guys when we do!

So, when's the game coming out? We don't know for sure yet, but we're hoping to release this game in full on Steam before the end of this year.  Things are uncertain at the time, as many of us are still attending college and have personal matters and work to handle at this time.  However, I will update once we have a release date! It's coming out really well so far and can't wait for you all to see it.
